SynapSeq Cloud – Share and sync sessions online
View on GitHubIdea: SynapSeq Cloud – Share and sync sessions online
We are exploring a major feature for the future: SynapSeq Cloud.
The goal is to make it possible for users to upload, manage, and reuse their content seamlessly across devices, while also enabling community sharing.
What is SynapSeq Cloud?
A platform integrated into the CLI (and later the web) where users can:
- Upload full sessions (
.spsq).- If a session references external custom presets (
@presetlist) or loop WAV files (@background), these dependencies will be automatically included during upload.
- If a session references external custom presets (
- List and download public sessions shared by the community.
- Download a complete session as a
.zippackage (including presets and loops). - Request server-side generation of final audio (
.wavor.mp3) for any uploaded session (with duration limits).
Planned CLI Commands
Some commands we are considering:
-upload-session→ upload a session (with referenced presets/loops included).-list-sessions→ list public sessions available in the Cloud.-list-private-sessions→ list private sessions created by the user.-delete-session→ remove a session previously uploaded.-update-session→ update a session with a new version.-get-session ID→ download a full session as.zip.-generate-session wav ID→ request a WAV file from the server.-generate-session mp3 ID→ request an MP3 file from the server.
Why Cloud?
- Synchronization: access your sessions from any machine running SynapSeq.
- Community: discover new presets and sessions created by other users.
- Portability: download sessions as
.zipfiles and run them offline. - Convenience: request ready-to-use audio files generated in the Cloud.
- Future extensibility: the same backend could power a future web interface.
Status
This is a long-term idea and not scheduled for the next release.
We’d like to hear feedback from the community:
- Would you use SynapSeq Cloud to store your own sessions?
- Would you share sessions publicly?
- Would you rely on Cloud-generated WAV/MP3 files for convenience?
The Cloud would make SynapSeq not just a lightweight generator, but also a platform for sharing, syncing, and generating brainwave sessions.
